In a long stretched space, the horizontal axis extends throughout every facade and window of the house, giving it a unique and cohesive design. A refined metal sliding door redefines the boundaries and further extends the vision, seamlessly integrating the neighboring vegetation into every corner of the space.
Natural lighting and materials are the two key factors that define the essence of Woods Casting. A wide floor-to-ceiling window allows residents to observe the mesmerizing transition of light and shadow throughout the entire day, creating a dynamic and immersive living experience.
The design specifications for Woods Casting are 265m2, providing ample space for residents to live and thrive. The design team, led by Jacksam Yang and Steven Kuo, meticulously crafted this project, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully considered.
Located in Taichung City, Taiwan, the Woods Casting project began in March 2017 and was completed in December 2017. The design reflects the unique cultural and natural elements of its surroundings, creating a harmonious blend of modern living and natural beauty.
Woods Casting has garnered recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
